We are delighted to welcome Aaron to StoryLab’s as our new Social Media Manager

An experienced marketer, Aaron is a proud Sligo native:  “Sligo is a part of my soul. Having the opportunity to live in Sligo and have such an amazing team and clients to work with at StoryLab is a privilege,” he says.

Since graduating top of his class from the Institute of Technology Sligo, now ATU, Aaron has worked across various marketing roles and industries.

His previous roles included a marketing executive in the events industry and a digital marketing executive in the tourism industry. Most recently, Aaron spent two years as a marketing manager in the automotive industry.

Aaron also pursued an interesting period in academic research.

“An opportunity came in 2020 to pursue a master’s by research in the field of destination branding at ATU Sligo,” he says.

This led Aaron to be the first ATU researcher to present his work at the American Marketing Association’s summer conference in San Francisco. Aaron submitted his thesis titled “People and Place: synthesise the role of Local Retailers in developing a collaborative destination brand for the Northwest region of Ireland” last year and hopes to have his work published internationally in the near future.

Since joining the company, Aaron already feels very excited about what’s to come.

“We’ve worked on some amazing projects already in my first two months. It is very exciting. The team has also been nominated for two Spider Awards in the Mansion House on Friday the 21st, and we are all attending. How lucky am I?”
